Indigenous Food Systems Community of Practice Alumni Circle

February 17, 2026 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm PST

The Indigenous Food Systems Community of Practice (IFSCoP) is a learning and relationship-building cohort for funders interested in advancing support for Native-led food systems work. Developed by Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders, First Nations Development Institute, and Melvin Consulting PLLC, this program brings funders together to engage directly with Indigenous leaders, deepen understanding of structural and philanthropic barriers in Indian Country, and build more effective strategies for supporting Native food sovereignty and sustainable agriculture. The IFSCoP has been offered every other year since 2021.

In times of crisis, our values can be the anchor that guides how we show up for one another. Alumni of the Indigenous Food Systems Community of Practice are invited to join this virtual session, where we will explore how funders and community leaders come together to respond in ways that are aligned with shared principles and centered on community needs. Participants will reflect on how they are partnering with grantees and local stakeholders to meet the moment and strengthen collective impact.

This virtual gathering is open to past IFSCoP participants only. Stay tuned for more information about Cohort 3 launching in 2026!
