White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health Sign-on Letter

Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders (SAFSF) and Grantmakers In Health (GIH) have been working with White House staff to engage philanthropy in the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. As part of these efforts, our organizations have drafted a sign-on letter (included below) that expresses support for the conference and its goals; provides input on areas that we feel are missing from the conference’s five pillars; and affirms philanthropy’s commitment to working with the White House throughout the process and afterward. SAFSF and GIH collaborated with partners and members from both of our organizations to develop this letter.

Foundations, investors, and private donors actively engaged in philanthropy are invited to be signatories to this letter.

If your organization would like to sign this letter, please complete this Google Form by close of business (5:00 pm ET), Monday, August 15, 2022.

If you are a Philanthropy Support Organization (PSO), please feel free to share this with your grantmaker networks. If you would like to be listed as one of the PSOs in the introductory paragraph along with us, please email Traci and Colin with your interest along with a copy of your digital logo for the letterhead.

The final formatted letter with all signatories will be shared with everyone after it is submitted to the White House.

Thank you all so much. We appreciate your participation, and we are looking forward to keeping philanthropy directly engaged in the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.

Cheers,

Traci Bruckner, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders
