SAFSF Board

Call for 2024 Board Nominations

Interested in stewardship of Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Funders? We are accepting nominations for our Board of Directors until April 15!

We are looking to fill up to four (4) positions for three-year terms beginning on July 1, 2024. The open seats for 2024 must be filled by candidates whose organizations are members of SAFSF or have a pending membership application as of April 15, 2024.

Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague to bring your perspective, expertise, and energy to the work of SAFSF! The Board seeks candidates reflecting diversity across gender, race/ethnicity, culture, geography, life experience, professional skills, issue areas, and funder type and size. At this time, our non-member seats on the Board are filled.

We are looking for qualified candidates who are:

  • Members of the board or staff of a grantmaking or investing organization active in sustainable agriculture and/or food systems
  • Committed to uphold and lead with SAFSF’s core values: Collaboration, Equity, Respect, Stewardship, Integrity, and in accordance with the SAFSF Commitment to Racial Justice.
  • Work at an organization that is a current member of SAFSF, or the organization is eligible and has a pending application as of April 15th.
  • Familiar with SAFSF through previous experience on an SAFSF committee or active engagement by participating in our events, cohorts, or programming.
  • Bring board and governance experience and an enthusiasm for supporting the impact and strength of SAFSF.

Self-nomination or nominations of other qualified candidates are welcome. This Board Nomination Form asks for complete contact information for the nominee, nominator (if applicable), information on the candidate’s relevant background, and a statement of interest describing why the candidate would make a great SAFSF Director. Once a nomination has been submitted, SAFSF will request confirmation from each candidate who was not self-nominated.

This Board Nomination Form must be submitted no later than Monday, April 15. If you have questions about the form or process, please contact Holly Enowski at [email protected].
