Report Back: Integrated Capital Community of Practice

September 29, 2026 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm PDT

If you are thinking of joining the SAFSF Integrated Capital Community of Practice, this session will provide an overview of the program and feature participant perspectives from the inaugural cohort.  SAFSF launched the Integrated Capital Community of Practice in partnership with Sacred Futures with the goal of equipping funders with the tools, peer relationships, and internal strategies needed to overcome organizational barriers between programs and investments and move more capital into impact-aligned opportunities across food and agriculture.

Here is some of what the inaugural class had to say about the experience:

“I would highly recommend this program to colleagues interested in learning about integrated capital, regardless of where they are in their journey. The program combines strong technical content with practical examples and real-world use cases that make the concepts actionable. Just as valuable was the opportunity to build relationships with a diverse group of peers who brought different perspectives and experiences to the discussion. Those connections enriched the learning experience and created an ongoing community of practitioners who can continue sharing ideas, resources, and support well beyond the program itself.”

“Building relationships with other folks in philanthropy who are interested in moving the needle on integrated capital, deepening skills and knowledge, regular opportunities to workshop current projects, or even envision what you might build and case-making ideas.”

“So much care and curation went into this that the program felt very intentional and well-rounded. The programming seemed to meet the needs of everyone in some way or another.”

Come hear from participants about the impact of this program on their funding strategy, meet the program guide, Charity May of Sacred Futures, and get your questions answered about the program. Registration for the 2027 cohort will open August 31!
