State Policy

Our policy work on the state level aims to connect funders with state lawmakers and agencies with power over policies that affect sustainable agriculture and food systems.

One example is our organizational work with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, through which we foster convenings and conversations to increase public-sector understanding and support for sustainable and organic agriculture and food systems that foster diversity, equity and inclusion. Connecting public and private funding partners within states strengthens funding opportunities for sustainable and organic agriculture and food system initiatives.

Another example is our ongoing coverage in our SAFSF member-only Policy Connection of state legislative and funding efforts currently happening.
